The South African Embassy in Washington DC hosts a huge all day festival every year to celebrate South African Freedom Day. The first Freedom Day was on April 27th 1994 when ALL South Africans were finally allowed to vote and we voted for Nelson Mandela to be our first democratically elected President. This annual event in Washington DC is a happening this year on Saturday April 27th! See you there! Then drive to Philly for our annual Friends Of The Peace Train fun-raising concert, lunch and dance party on Sunday noon at World Cafe Live, 3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia!
